I'm taking a break from beating my head against my desk to write this. You're welcome.

First I became so busy that I resorted to just uploading pictures from my phone.  Now I’m so busy I can’t even handle that.  Plus I no longer have cute labradoodles living with me on a daily basis which really cuts down on picture taking.  (The cats are shitty models and won’t wear clothes.  Those assholes.)

The main reason I haven’t written anything lately is I have nothing worth writing about.  My life consists of going to class, work, and selling my soul to law review and the TJBL.  Between now and November 9, I have to edit an article (a bigger debacle than it sounds to you non-law school people), write an article, write a paper for my paper seminar, and prepare/give a presentation.  (And my law review comment was due last week, which was another pain in the ass.)  Back in my college days, this all wouldn’t have been a big deal… But legal writing fucking sucks.  It still boggles my mind how much time it takes.  With the exception of the article I’m writing because it’s not that long, everything else could really use 2-3 weeks EACH to get done.  Not to mention I don’t get home until 7:30 every night, which really cuts down on my free time to work on stuff.  That and the fact I drive to Austin every single weekend to see The Husband.  Ah, well.  It’ll get done eventually.  Probably mere minutes before due dates.  If I don’t burn my Bluebook and gouge out my eyeballs before then.

In other news, I got a new Mac!  I’ve regretted buying an HP for law school since the day after I bought it.  It died over the summer, and I’ve been using Colin’s laptop since then.  About a month ago, Colin’s laptop started making screeching noises every now and then.  Because PCs hate me and want to destroy my academic life.  Long story short, my mom volunteered to buy me a new Mac, and I didn’t argue.  And it is amazing.  I bought a hot pink case for it on Sunday.  It totally blends in with the other laptops in class.  Evidently my approach to law school is, “What would Elle Woods do?”

That’s pretty much all I’ve got.  If anything beyond thrilling happens to me between now and November 9, I’m sure I will find a way to share it.  Until then, you can expect morose self-portraits of me in the library and TJBL office.  Maybe a few scattered pictures of cats.

OOOHHH.  One last thing.  Assuming I have the time to actually do something for Halloween (and my birthday) this weekend, I have to decide between two costume ideas.  What should I be… a garden gnome or Mr. Potato Head?
