I’m debating whether to let Ollie be an indoor/outdoor cat once I move to Austin. Personally, I’ve never had an indoor/outdoor cat, so I just don’t really know.
Actually, scratch that. (No pun intended… Ok, totally intended.) My childhood cat went into the backyard, but he was completely declawed and couldn’t climb the fence. Plus, he wasn’t the sort of cat...

WatchI know, I know. The most fascinating video ever made. Oliver was meowing at a bird and trying to attack it through the window, but he got distracted once I got the camera out.
This is pretty much what I’ve been doing all day. Just sitting at home. Talking to the animals. Watching HGTV. The usual.

Gah.
I know in the grand scheme of things this is trivial, but it’s been really depressing at the apartment without Otis… It’s just weird.
It doesn’t help that Oliver has been wandering around crying. We think he misses his friend.
Post-vet update.
Our vet thinks Otis died from FIP. It’s a pretty rare disease, but always fatal. It’s a mutation of another virus, FECV. They aren’t sure what causes the virus to mutate into FIP in some cats, but they think some might have a genetic predisposition.
Oliver’s blood work came back and his white blood cell count is high. Our vet wasn’t sure what that meant, so he...
